Per-app time limits, instant enforcement, and real-time usage monitoring. Built by a developer-parent who wanted something better.
Set daily minute budgets per app. Instagram gets 45 minutes, YouTube gets an hour. A global budget across all non-unlimited apps catches the apps you didn't think to limit individually.
Per-child reusable schedule definitions. Block specific apps during school hours, bedtime, or focus windows. Schedules attach to a child's rule document and enforce automatically — no manual toggling required.
One tap from the parent dashboard flips the global block flag on a child device. The child app locks every non-essential app within seconds and shows the custom message you set — useful for "dinner now" or "phone over here."
The accessibility service watches the active browser tab across Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, and Google App. Block by category (social media, adult, gambling) or by specific domain. Per-domain overrides let you allow a single site inside a blocked category.
6 packs of curated copy replace block-screen messages with prose your teenager will physically recoil from: GenAlpha, Corporate Dad, Shakespearean Dad, Pirate Dad, Dad Jokes, and DARE Officer. Family-wide toggle from the parent dashboard. A weekend bias and a sleep-time suffix keep the rotation fresh.
A 4–6 digit Family PIN configured by the parent. Use it on the child device to grant a timed bypass on block screens or to clear the Settings tamper-block overlay when the child legitimately needs to change a setting. The hash lives in encrypted storage on the child device — never in plaintext.
Set a start and end date; while active, all rules are paused and the child app shows a vacation banner. School holidays, family trips, sick days — pick the window in the parent dashboard and forget about it.
When a limit hits or a site is blocked, the child can request more time or access. The parent dashboard shows the request in real time — what app, what site, how long they're asking for — and a single tap approves or denies. Approvals unblock the target for the full grant window across relaunches.
Device admin gates the uninstall path; the accessibility service detects attempts to disable protections, deactivate device admin, or clear the agent. This is detect-and-alert, not full prevention — when something happens, you get a high-priority push to your parent device immediately.
Install SudoParent on your phone and your child's phone. One app, two modes.
Generate a pairing code on your device. Enter it on theirs. Child mode locks permanently.
Choose which apps to limit and for how long. Set schedules, block categories, or allow everything.
The agent runs silently in the background. Rules are enforced in real-time, no interaction needed.
Built by Jabezz Solutions — a developer-parent who got tired of parental controls that don't actually work.
SudoParent requires accessibility service and device admin permissions to function. The child agent runs as a foreground service to monitor and enforce app usage rules. SudoParent does not collect or transmit data beyond what is necessary for rule enforcement and usage reporting between paired devices.
